Sample Packs

It's bandcamp friday,
And a lot of artists and labels will message you and tell you to download their tracks and releases for you to listen to.
But isn't that a bit boring?
So we will instead let you know about our sample packs. Which help you produce your *own* tracks instead of merely listen to that of others! others! And they are all free.

Drum Sample Pack

121 Royalty Free 909 Related Drum Samples (for Producing Techno, Hardcore, and More)

Here's a brand new serving of kicking hardcore and techno drum samples.
They are free to use, you don't have to pay royalties, you don't have to credit me (see below).
All of these are related to the 909 (the drum machine that made the 90s roar). But are tweaked, distorted, run through fx... so these are not your standard gabber and techno kicks for sure.

There is a huge variety of samples: bass heavy ones, more light weight drums, weird ones, and hyper-distorted sounds.
(The focus is on the heavy ones, of course.)

Because of this, I'd say they are suitable for all electronic genres... hardcore, techno, industrial, indietronics, speedcore... you name it!

I've been a hardcore and techno producer for nearly 30 years now and i did countless releases on countless labels. For this sample pack, I isolated the drum-stems of some of these tracks, and cut them into short samples
So it's really drums that have been played loud and approved at club or squat party sound systems (and their crowds).

License: Feel free to use the bassdrums for any public, private, intimate, or commercial purpose.
Would be *very* cool if you credit me, but it's not strictly necessary.

Note: in some cases, you might need to cut off the "clicking" sound at the end of the sample in an audio editor.

Doomed Techno Witchcraft

We were quite surprised when ?Y told us about their project. An album solely dedicated to witchcraft, to magic, to spirituality.

Or in their own worlds (or words) "we channeled this music, sent to us by messengers, through portals, from the world above, the world below, and even stranger dimensions.

As usual, we are not quite sure about the identity of these messengers and the ultimate source of inspiration. Or who is knocking, who's coming through, or what. But maybe that's not so important... we have the best intention and hope it will lead to a magic affair that is entirely benevolent.

This one's for all you Doomcore Witches out there, Acid Alchemists, Gabber Sorcerers, and Techno Shamans. Because we know that, in these times, you need all the support that you can get. We love you all."

What a nice message!
And we think that, no matter if you are a non-believer or believer, you might enjoy these creations.

Escape From the Doomed Forest of Hamburg - Part 5 - Midnight

(Watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKct-GRsKsg )

More information: Last year we walked into one of Hamburg's haunted forests, old, with quite the history. Read more about that here:

http://thehardcoreoverdogs.blogspot.com/2024/10/sonic-itinerancy-doomcore-techno-walk.html

And then?

Then... we were stuck... for months... for years... maybe for Millennia.. in this doomed location... or even at worse places... but maybe... maybe we were happy?

Either way. It's time to get back. Into the real world. Into real life. With real pleasures and real pain.
Enough with facades and illusion.
This is reality!

And therefore... it is high time... to escape the doomed forest of Hamburg.

Will we ever make it?

We will see...

To be continued.

90s Summertime Hardcore Mixmarathon

Do you remember the New Years Eve 90s Hardcore Mixmarathon show on Youtube?
One night, 6+ hours of music to ring in the new year with a blast.

And now, almost exactly half a year later, there is already the second edition in this concept!
Just in time for the Summer Solstice and change of seasons, we welcome the warm, cozy and relaxing summertime days with - some very grim, frightening, and loud Hardcore beats!

The "Quartet of Inferno" has assembled for this special show once more.
The overall theme is the 90s scene, and every avenger is assigned to a special style:

1. Low Entropy (Hamburg, Germany) will bring us the cold, chilled beats of Doomcore, Dark Techno and Industrial.
2. Gabbergirl (Minnesota, USA) takes things Even Furthur in Minnesota and drops the bass: the best in Acid and Acidcore!
3. Nikaj (The Netherlands) guides us to the underground Hardcore and Gabber scene of the 90s and plays some tracks that existed outside of the "big commercial CDs", too.
4. DJ Asylum (Bathgate, United Kingdom) finally slams the lid on the coffin with a set of all-out Terror, Speedcore, Noisecore, and other nastiness.

Low Entropy did a special video stream for the show as well.
It runs along the audio and is designed in the style of the video jockey mixes and reels that were so popular at Techno parties in the 90s.
So expect some trippy visuals and cut-up footage - going on for the full time of the show.

And there is a chatroom, where you can talk to us and the other weirdos.

So - be there or be square!
